We’re Iowa’s first THC drink.

There are plenty of social drinks out there—it’s the Midwest, afterall. Climbing Kites is a little different, though. Our drinks are 0 Sugar, 0 Calories, and 0 alcohol. THC and CBD only.

That means no hangovers. No bloating. No calorie-counting. Just you, your drink, and the time or place you’re choosing to spend it with.

We’re not saying it’s life-chaging. But every once in a while, why not enjoy a nice breeze?

Yes! Climbing Kites is fully licensed and registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals, and all of our products have been reviewed and approved by the Iowa Health and Human Services (Iowa HHS). We are also in compliance with all federal (including DEA) guidance regarding hemp-derived CBD and THC. Our THC and CBD is entirely natural within the hemp plant and is not synthetically created or obtained. It meets all state and federal laws and guidelines. In short, Climbing Kites offers entirely legal products.

The THC in CK's beverages is pure Delta-9 THC — it has not been synthesized or created in a lab. Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive compound in marijuana (it is the one that gets you "high").

Hemp and marijuana are both legal names for the cannabis plant. Cannabis that contains less than 0.3% THC is called hemp, and cannabis that contains 0.3% THC or more is called marijuana. But besides that, hemp and marijuana are the same. So CK's hemp-derived THC and CBD are the exact same as the THC and CBD found in marijuana. So yes, it will affect you like marijuana. This isn't a similar, but less potent, THC/CBD compound or a synthesized compound; it's the real deal.

We have designed Climbing Kites to be a low-dose THC/CBD beverage. Most customers describe a “light buzz” or simply a happy feeling from a single can. And, of course, the more you drink, the stronger the effects. That said, like caffeine or alcohol, THC and CBD affect people differently. If you are new to THC/CBD products, we recommend starting with our 2.5mg version.

Please use the same caution you would when drinking alcohol, and don't drink this if you are pregnant or need to pass a drug test. Don't drink and drive. Climbing Kites is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Must be 21+ to enjoy.

As noted above,THC and CBD affect everyone differently. But, in general, Climbing Kites is a relatively slow-onset beverage. The effects of CK pleasantly build slowly, and it typically takes about 20-30 minutes for the full effect to kick in. Inexperienced drinkers may wish to slowly consume the beverages and wait to feel the full affects before consuming another.

The effects usually last 1.5-2.5 hours, but can last longer depending on the individual.

Our products are tested by an accredited and independent lab to guarantee dosage and quality. We can guarantee the dosage of THC/CBD within our products and also that they are free of pesticides, herbicides, microbes, and other harmful materials.
